Sparta Historical Society's 5th Annual Classic & Antique Car Show, held Sunday, October 25th, was a huge success! 149 diverse autos and their drivers registered and 393 visitors attended. This year's theme was antique fire vehicles and this proved to be popular viewing. Award winner, Samantha Kinney, came with her drag racer for all to see. The People's Choice award went to a yellow 1984 Chevy Monte Carlo and we hope they return next year to receive a window sign designating their previous year win.
Sparta Historical Society would like to thank all the hard working volunteers and Sparta police, recreation and public works departments and Sparta Middle School. It appears that our car show was a great fun, safe, free, community event!
