Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis: Preservation and Grace, an American Legacy
Sparta Historical Society celebrates Women History Month. Actress Jill Lawrence brings Jackie O to life by interpreting her tireless efforts for the public good. By conveying Jacqueline's personal and professional struggles and victories, a poignant portrait of the First Lady, wife, mother and activist vividly comes alive. Bringing historic preservation center stage, Jacqueline's gift for the future was to preserve the past. She was a great American legacy who wore many hats, not just her pillbox.
Sparta Historical will display a few of their 1960 hats and Joyce Simmons will display pearl jewelry.
Light refreshments will be provided by Roberta O'Neill.
