Sparta Historical Society pays homage to the cultural influences from the Black Forest of Germany and Austria with its Van Kirk Homestead Museum's fall exhibition.  This exhibit explore architecture, cuckoo clocks, meerschaum pipes, magnificent carved plaques and other traditional artistry seen in the early days of Lake Mohawk and other German communities throughout the Sussex County area.
