Sparta Historical Society will open with a short presentation on Sussex County Mining History and then we welcome William Kroth, CEO Sterling Hill Mining Museum.  Mr. Kroth will speak about Sterling Hill Mines -  its history and why it was important for Sussex County,  He will continue this discussion about its transformation to a museum and its current status as an educational foundation.  He will also speak about Franklinite.  Light refreshments will be served
